Graduate Studies Assistantships

Graduate and Post-Bacc Studies offers competitive graduate assistantships to actively enrolled Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Scott graduate students to enhance their academic and student experience. Graduate students can apply to assist offices throughout the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Scott campus.

Assistantships for the 2026-2027 academic year will be posted in the spring 2026 semester. 

Eligibility & Requirements

  • For consideration at the time of admission, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and completed their program(s) in good standing at their previous institutions. 
  • Current graduate students must maintain good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Students must be enrolled to accept an assistantship offer.
  • A graduate assistant may not be employed in any other position on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Scott campus nor can they hold two assistantship positions in one semester.
  • International students will have additional steps to complete to be hired as a GA.
  • GAs must enroll in a minimum of 9 attempted semester hours for each fall or spring semester of their assistantship.
    • Students completing a graduate assistantship during the summer semester must maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Graduate Assistantship grants or employment cannot be deferred.
  • Graduate students will work with the assigned project supervisor for 10-15 hours per week for the time period indicated on the contract based on assignment. Students must work a minimum of 10 hours per week, and may not work more than 19 hours a week.
